This ended up being pretty different from what I was expecting, but in a good way. The blurb makes it sound very romcom contemporary danmei, and maybe I just haven’t read enough danmei, because it felt more slice of life and less “tropey”—but again, that might just be my previous reading being too narrow. I quite liked it, and am looking forward to the second (which is also the final) volume.

Another book I started reading seems too sad, so hopefully this is lighter

I’m curious - I think the series is coming up at some point?

This was the first book I bought on Meb market, and circling back now after getting a tiny bit more familiar with some Thai things, (I’m logging this start after already reading a few chapters) I think it’s good that I waited until now.

As soon as I saw the description back when I pre-ordered I was interested; very curious!

It was pretty interesting how it all worked out! It really though makes me want to read the other books in the series, especially (Half?) Moon.

I really liked it! The meta bits about writing and stuff were especially fun/touching.
